I always remembered it being much better than this. In conclusion, child me is very disappointed in X5. On the positive side of things, the game has the X vs Zero and Zero Stage 3 themes which are so good they almost make up for everything else. This was made even worse coming just off of X4 which I think has some of the best in the entire series. I also think the level design is just straight up bad and/or boring at times.
